The real customer problem

Solar should solve the right problem.

Reduce electricity-cost exposure

Solar can offset a meaningful share of daytime consumption and reduce exposure to rising tariffs — sized to your actual usage.

Keep essential operations running

Battery storage keeps selected loads on during outages, without pretending a single battery can run an entire home or business.

Make a long-term investment with confidence

Decisions worth making deserve documentation: design basis, compatibility, production assumptions and warranty terms in writing.

System comparison

Not every solar setup behaves the same.

Understand the real differences between grid-tied, hybrid, off-grid and commercial systems before committing — especially around battery backup and outage behaviour.

Grid-tied solar

Offset eligible daytime consumption with on-site solar generation. Subject to BC Hydro approval and the self-generation rate, qualifying surplus may be exported for billing credit.

Important: Ordinary grid-tied solar normally shuts down during an outage for safety — it does not provide backup power by itself. Battery storage is required to maintain power to essential loads when the grid is down.

Solar fit check

Tell us about your property — no exaggerated savings.

A few quick questions about your site and energy use. We will only tell you whether a detailed assessment appears worthwhile. System size, savings and cost require a bill, load and site review.

Any indication is preliminary. No savings, sizing, price or timeline is implied.

How it works

A disciplined method — seven steps.

See the full method

Clarify what you actually want from solar — bill reduction, backup, resilience or a staged investment. The right system depends on the honest answer.

British Columbia conditions

Designed for British Columbia conditions.

Wind, snow load and winter storms

Designs use stated site wind and snow-load criteria with applicable professional review. We do not call a system storm-proof or wildfire-proof.

Heat, wildfire smoke and coastal corrosion

Selection accounts for summer heat, wildfire-smoke soiling that cuts output, and corrosion exposure near the coast.

Outages and essential loads

Storage is sized around the loads that matter during an outage — from winter storms to public-safety shutoffs — not the whole building.

Serviceability across British Columbia

British Columbia is our developing service region, with traceable after-sales support planned as relationships are confirmed.

Designs use stated site criteria and applicable professional review. We do not use the term “wildfire-proof or storm-proof.”

Technology qualification

Equipment should be selected by evidence — not by label alone.

“Tier 1” is a useful reference point, but it is not a complete measure of system quality, output or local support. A responsible selection looks at the full evidence checklist below.

Manufacturer identity and export history

Who made it, for how long, and where it has been deployed.

Model-specific test reports

Independent performance and safety data for the actual model — not a brand-level claim.

BC Hydro grid compatibility

Inverter settings and approvals appropriate to BC Hydro and the self-generation rate.

Inverter–battery compatibility

Verified communications and charge/discharge behaviour between components.

Warranty terms and exclusions

What is covered, for how long, and what voids it — in writing.

Parts and replacement strategy

A planned path to keep systems serviceable over their life.

Monitoring and firmware support

Ongoing monitoring support and firmware lifecycle expectations.

Product-change notification

Awareness of model changes and end-of-life so customers are not surprised.

Monitoring and after-sales

Service, planned around the system's life.

We design the system so it stays serviceable — with planned after-sales responsibilities, from monitoring access to a clear warranty intake path, confirmed in each written proposal.

Customer monitoring access

Each customer receives access to their own system monitoring.

Performance review

Planned periodic performance checks against stated assumptions.

Local warranty intake

A planned local point to raise issues and start a warranty claim — to be confirmed in each agreement.

Serial tracking

Planned serial registration against each project for traceability, subject to supplier agreements.

Manufacturer escalation

A proposed path to escalate to the equipment manufacturer when needed — to be confirmed in each agreement.

Maintenance history

Service events logged per project where the service agreement provides for it.

Preventive maintenance

Optional preventive maintenance is offered where the service agreement provides for it.

Specific response times, warranty terms and maintenance options are confirmed in each written proposal.

Taiwan partnership

Connecting Taiwanese clean-energy technology with Canadian opportunity.

Evolve is a Canada-based clean-energy company seeking qualified Taiwanese module, inverter, LFP battery and monitoring partners. Our planned contribution covers market development, installation coordination, inventory coordination and traceability, installer training, warranty administration and customer support — a proposed service pathway toward regional distribution, confirmed in each agreement.

Market development

British Columbia core market, with disciplined expansion planned.

Inventory coordination & traceability

Planned serial-level tracking for warranty and replacements — subject to supplier agreements.

Installer training

Developing qualified installation and commissioning practice — to be confirmed in each agreement.

Warranty administration

Proposed local warranty intake with manufacturer escalation — to be confirmed in each agreement.
